There's a place called Wonderland.

Because a star shines brightest during the darkest of nights. Because everything can fall into place with just one warm embrace. Because a pot of gold awaits at the end of the rainbow. And because I know dreams do come true.

Paradise Falls and Don's Surprise.

We decided to give Friday night a boost by seeing Up in the Mall of Asia. This is our first group date with Don and Rjohn, both whom we just met and became friends with during our review and stay in Manila. I was ecstatic about this movie date since I was already looking forward to watching the movie when I first saw its trailer late last year. I've always had this thing for animated films and one of my favorite way of spending those few times I've managed to sneak away from Engineering Mathematics, EST, GEAS and Electronics is to go see one.
As expected, everyone was laughing their heads off the whole time. I really had a great time watching the movie. Too bad Ria wasn't there. I also had fun watching Tine on my left, seeing her face light up like a little kid or teasing Rjohn on my right, waiting for him to get teary-eyed during those touching scenes. (Of course he didn't get teary eyed. He was laughing hysterically the whole time. hahah! )

Overall, Up is not just about an old man taking his house to Paradise Falls using 10,000 helium balloons, it is an exquisite fantasy adventure that mixes comedy, action, and drama into a satisfying whole.

Carl Fredricksen:
[Carl, with his house high in the air, opens his door to see who knocked on it. Looking around, he spots Russell and yells... ] Whaa!
Russell: Hi, Mr. Fredricksen! It's me, Russell!
Carl Fredricksen:What are you doing out here, kid?
Russell: I found a snipe, and I followed it under your porch, but this snipe had a long tail, and looked more like a large mouse.
[His flag then blows away in the wind, and he gasps]
Russell:[Turns to Mr. Fredricksen] Please let me in.
Carl Fredricksen:[pause] No.
[He slams the door shut]
Carl Fredricksen: [Russell waits uncertainly for a few seconds. The door opens again] Oh, all right...
[Russell runs inside]

This part goes to Mr. Orlando Punzalan Jr. since I wanted to give him something better than my heart-shaped paper clip surprise and tons of pictures with him on it we've put on our newly decorated table. :]]

Don

For almost two months of knowing this guy, he instantly became not only Ann's prince charming but our knight in shining armor as well. He is so much fun to be with, not to mention suuuper nice and understanding. He has also built his reputation as the "all-around guy" who takes good care of everything and can fix almost anything. From organizing BBQ parties and surprises, holding worthwhile conversations, from fixing the doorknob, the sink and even my broken umbrella. Name it, and he can do it. :]]

Don with Ann. :]]

He never fails to surprise us by doing the unexpected.
I'm putting 'paglusong sa baha' on top of our list. hahah!

Now let me rephrase the first part, for almost two months of knowing this guy, he instantly became not only Ann's prince charming, not only our knight in shining armor but one of my favorite people as well. Cheers Don! Cheers to the many years of friendship ahead! :]]
Thanks for everything.

My Crate Escape.

I am back for a moment. :)

I'll be back to school for my twelve noon class later on so while I'm having my three hour break, I decided to do something decent. It was a toss between reviewing my notes and blogging. Obviously, the latter won by a landslide. That would be two votes out of two since I only have two hands.
I just don't want my blog to feel rather left out. No, I didn't become Victor Van Dort's corpse bride. It's just that I am currently caught in my own whirlwind of school works and another 200 hours of internship and thesis and technical study and pre - board exam review
during Saturdays. As much as I wanted to post something here before I forget the details of what I was going to write, I couldn't find the time. School has just been consuming all my time and energy.
There were few times I have been able to sneak away. Too bad some didn't last long. Before long Pito would either appear carrying a Walt Disney book or drag me outside to buy candy. Reading to Pito has become one of our cutest bonding moments. I try to teach him new words but he's just head over heels in love with Mickey Mouse whom he calls Wickey Mouse. I once tried to introduce Minnie Mouse to him. His efforts showed but Wickey Mouse has clearly won his heart.

Pito: (pointing to Minnie Mouse) Wickey Mouse!
Arnee: No. It's Minnie Mouse. Minnie.

Pito: Minnie Mouse?
Arnee: Yup! Minnie Mouse!
Pito: (happily) Minnie Wickey Mouse!

He was so happy while saying Minnie Wickey Mouse over
and over again. It was like he had just found his new bestfriend.

So each morning, eventhough I'm almost late for school or th
e office, I would happily oblige whenever he sits beside me with a new Walt Disney book wide open while saying "Basa tayo!". The Walt Disney set, composed of books 1-18 were mine when I was young. Now I feel very proud that Pito has become so inclined to books. Thank you so much Wickey, I mean, Mickey Mouse! (wink)

Some of the very few times I managed to sneak away were mostly spent with Archie. We're either at the mall, the movie house or in my house watching DVD.

Still together! Still lost!

Skipper: We've lost engine one.
Private: And engine two is no longer on fire.
Kowalski:[on the microphone] This is your captain speaking. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that we will be landing immediately.
[everyone claps]
Kowalski: Tha bad news is we're crash landing.

Last week , I dragged him into the movie house to watch Madagascar 2. As expected, we were laughing our heads off the whole time. I loved the first movie and I was crazy about this one too. :) Archie and I were among the four people who didn't come with kids. Everybody else was toting along little kids! It was fun seeing that they actually made seeing the movie a family affair. The movie wouldn't be the same without little kiddie faces lighting up once their parents finally got hold of their movie tickets. It was remarkable. As soon as the lights went out, I was laughing my heart out along with everybody else. :)

19 months and still counting..

It's been a while. I've been busy with my on-the-job training that I did not have time to blog for five straight weeks. And the semester's fast approaching.. I don't know.. maybe next time it will be five straight MONTHS.
After completing 230 hours of on-the-job training in a telecommunications company , I spent the whole Monday afternoon finishing my accomplishment report. Then I went to school to submit all my requirements early this morning. I even had some one on one with my practicum coordinator. He asked lots of questions about what I did in the office and in the field, my daily activities, the things I think I contributed to the company and blah blah blah blah.
The office has been my home for almost a month, and coming back to school today was.. I don't know. Weird? I saw some of my classmates and it took me a while to remember their last names. Funny. I guess my memory gap's starting to affect my social life.
I'm not trying to be melodramatic but coming back to school today after quite some time was like knocking some sense into my head. We're going on our final year.. and SOON enough I'll walk a different path. SOON, it'll be about goodbyes and separating ways. Okay-- now I'm being sentimental.
What I missed most about school was my friends. I saw Ann and Ria today and all we did was talk non-stop. Each was trying very hard to catch up with each other's life. I know it was just four weeks but I bet you know how we girls are. ^^
Then I went to the mall to meet Archie. We had lunch, went to the movie house to see Speed Racer. Whew. I think I strained my eyes trying not to blink the whole time. The movie lived up to its name. Everything was moving way too fast, which was good. I really enjoyed it. Each time with Archie is a blast. And today is extra special, for this is the day WE turned 19. ^^ Hugs and kisses for you muffin. xOxOxOx
